Returns and Store Policies

Carroll’s Jewelers does everything is its power to meet the delivery times indicated on the website.  We cannot be held responsible for the consequences of a late delivery or the loss of a package caused by the recipient, a third party contracted to make delivery, or because of some unforeseen event or Act of God.  In the event you do not receive your package, an investigation will be conducted with the carrier and may take several days upon receipt of your claim.  During this period of investigation nor reimbursement or re-delivery will occur.

Exchanges and Returns

Unless other wise specified below, your purchase may be exchanged or refunded (excluding shipping charges) within 14 days from the time your order is delivered.  Items are to be returned within the timeframe at the purchaser’s expense with an original sales receipt and a completed and signed return slip. We recommend that you send the merchandise with a delivery confirmation and you purchase insurance with your carrier for the value of the merchandise if necessary.

The item must be unworn, in original condition, and in the original gift box with all warranty cards, explanation booklets, certificates and appraisals intact.  Special orders, completed layaways, modified and/or custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable.

Special Orders

Special order items are not returnable, refundable or exchangeable.  Special orders include any jewelry, gemstone or watch that has been customized or altered at the customer’s request.  Examples include family jewelry, name/monogram jewelry or items that have been engraved or sized.  Special orders require a deposit of at least 50% when ordering in store or payment in full if ordering online.

Custom Work

Custom designed jewelry involves metal, gems and labor furnished at Carroll’s Jewelers for a specific customer.  As such, all custom jewelry is non-refundable and requires a 50% non-refundable deposit before the work begins.  Every effort is made by Carroll’s Jewelers to accurately manufacture or produce the item(s) so ordered.   Minor adjustments – such as ring sizing or texturing – will be made by Carroll’s Jewelers to accommodate the wearer at either a modest fee or at no charge depending upon the extent of the work involved.

Ethically sourced and Conflict free

All diamonds purchased from Carroll’s Jewelers are both ethically sourced (fair humanitarian mining practices when it comes to wages and conditions when sourcing for raw diamonds) AND conflict free (mined in an area which are free from any kind of terrorism or terror-related areas).

Carroll’s Jewelers and its vendors subscribe to the Kimberley Process - an international, multi-stakeholder initiative created to increase transparency and oversight in the diamond industry in order to eliminate trade in conflict diamonds, or rough diamonds sold by rebel groups or their allies to fund conflict against legitimate governments.

Colored Gemstone Enhancement Disclosure

Purchasers of colored gemstones should be aware that natural gemstones are processed from the time they are extracted from the earth by one or more traditionally accepted trade practices.  All colored gemstones listed on the sales receipt have most likely been subjected to a stable and possibly undetectable enhancement process.  All relevant information will be readily provided to the best of our knowledge.
